Engineered for heavy duty applications, the Tadano ATF 220G-5 all terrain crane offers a maximum lifting capacity of 220 tons and can achieve a maximum lifting height of approximately 108 meters when utilizing its fully extended boom and jib configurations. The crane is equipped with a seven section telescopic main boom made of high tensile steel, which extends from 13.2 meters to 68.0 meters. For extended reach, it supports various boom extensions ranging from 13.2 meters to 37.2 meters.

The crane utilizes a dual engine design to provide optimal efficiency and power. The carrier is powered by a Mercedes Benz 8 cylinder water cooled diesel engine producing 390 kW, while the superstructure relies on a Mercedes Benz 6 cylinder diesel engine delivering 138 kW. The chassis features a ZF AS Tronic mechanical transmission with automatic gear shifting, offering 16 forward gears and 2 reverse gears, alongside a 10 x 8 drive configuration. Superior off road mobility and stability are ensured by a hydro pneumatic suspension system with levelling adjustment.

Safety and precision are central to the operational design of the ATF 220G-5. The superstructure cab provides a panoramic view with tinted safety glass and a tiltable cockpit for operator comfort. Advanced safety features include the Tadano ‘Lift Adjuster’, a load moment device (LMD), an anemometer, and a working area limiter, ensuring secure and highly controlled lifting operations.
